Quiet

Got an issue with someone or something? Want to whine a little? Here's the place to do it, or to get to know folks, or ask those questions that don't fit anywhere else.

Quiet

Post by positrac »

For the last two years our world has been turned upside down. I have survived this mess and as I look around most of the people haven't changed. The challenges I face is not taking the rest of the world overly serious. I live pretty simple and keep the drama to the lowest level. Hardest part is people and the driving not keeping situational awareness out the windshield and in their phones. Will that get me drinking? Nope and that is I keep my tools of sobriety and remember my last drink.

Be well and keep sober.
Work hard, stay positive, and get up early. It's the best part of the day.

The quiet has been hard on me. I think I am worse driver because of it. I mean I spent over a year with very little brain exercise. I space out a lot. I make excuses to not GO (anywhere). I wear my "house pants" everywhere these days. Addicted to screens now too, if I wasn't already.

I am struggling against it and getting Help. I was asked to give a newcomer rides to meetings. Then I have become a friend and car driver to the new gal and she does love to shop. I have taken up a bit of like for meandering through stores myself. Thank goodness we both love the bargains at Dollar Tree LOL.

I don't know if I am the same on the inside. My (very near) next door neighbor and I still chat across the driveway rather than wander the yard together. I hope that changes this year. I almost feel afraid of people, even though there is no explanation for it.

Even though I haven't wandered much for the last 2 years, my mind sure has. That's NOT a good place for me to wander though.

Stay Safe everyone!
