Got an issue with someone or something? Want to whine a little? Here's the place to do it, or to get to know folks, or ask those questions that don't fit anywhere else.

Life is so exciting! Don't get too excited.... see page 90? End of Chapter 6
...humbly saying to ourselves many times each day "Thy will be done." We are then in much less danger of excitement, fear, anger, worry, self-pity, or foolish decisions. We become much more efficient. We do not tire so easily, for we are not burning up energy foolishly as we did when we were trying to arrange life to suit ourselves.
How did excitement get on that list?!?

We all try real hard to regulate our negative emotions such as worry, fear, ect. However when it comes to positive emotions, such as excitement, pride, inspiration, we tend drop our guard and go with the feeling unchecked. Just like negative feelings, positive feelings can over whelm us and lead us done a dangerous path.

Good point DaveP. I feel that in the highs and lows of my sober life, neither have sparked anything that made me want to drink. I constantly keep my guard up. I constantly assess my surroundings and relate to my past drunk life. I realize who I was and who I could turn in to when alcohol is around. Whatever I've been doing is working and I'm happy with my methodology.

Am I Sober? Yep.

Have I Had Any Exposure to Alcohol Today? How did I handle the exposure? No, but I have had a decent amount of exposure the last few days. It hasn't been an issue. It'll become less as we become more busy.

Did I Have Any Thoughts or Cravings? Nope.

Am I Homicidal or Suicidal? Never.

Daily or Weekly Events: Lots of training in the weeks ahead. I'm excited for it and I'm excited to stay busy.

First things first.....Happy Mother's Day to those that it may apply!

Am I Sober? Yessir.

Have I Had Any Exposure to Alcohol Today? How did I handle the exposure? I've had alot of exposure all week. It wasn't an issue but it was hard being around a massive group of drinks last night at a concert. This was the first time I have been on the floor of a concert since being sober and it was a completely different experience. Alot of what happened was more of an annoyance, and I hate to think that I used to be that guy, but I was. I sure am glad that I've changed.

Did I Have Any Thoughts or Cravings? Nope.

Am I Homicidal or Suicidal? Never.

Daily or Weekly Events: More training for the coming week and I really can't wait to get home.

Ahh yes... Drunks can be soooo annoying. I was that guy constantly! Drunk or sober for a few hours - in so many ways that I have pages of inventory. Thank goodness I sobered up before Facebook! A few pics are floating around out there tho...

Lol, yep Paige. I think most of us can relate. I think that I used social media sometimes to even remember what I did. Prior to deleting my social media accounts, I definitely had some pics/posts that I couldn't recall making or taking.... it's nice to remember however.
