A 12 Pack - Wow

Today is my acknowledgement of 12 Years continuous sobriety. I celebrate tomorrow with my Homegroup. I have been through many trials (literal and figurative) in my 12 years. Each time I heard in the rooms or from a sponsor that maybe I needed to have a Higher Power that could handle such things... &...

The result of accepting my imperfect self is that I find I can accept others' Imperfection as well. These steps aren't the road to perfection, they're the road to fully understanding surrender and acceptance so that I can practice compassion despite my Imperfection. I don't do prayer, standing and holding hands or amens. Staying seated resulted in looks, glares sometimes and overall bad vibes. it became a PITA that threatened to turn into a resentment. So, I started arriving late and leaving early. That had pretty much the same effect. Just my thoughts. Tʜᴀɴᴋs...

PRIDE ... Time and again I approached the Seventh Step, only to fall back and regroup. Something was missing and the impact of the Step escaped me. What had I overlooked?
