Hello Everyone. My name is Ingrid.

I just joined this site. I've been sober for 20 years. How is everyone doing?

Welcome, Ingrid ~

How are *you* doing? An alkie with 20 yrs usually shares a wee bit more. :)

Reminded me of the time at 4 yrs sober when I signed into my online home group after a break. I said only the bare minimum to get in the door. Someone, who had known me a long time, noticed. She wrote privately to say hello and asked if everything was okay. I wrote back and said I was in trouble but couldn't talk about it yet. She said, "Whenever your're ready, I'm here." It made all the difference...her offer opened a path out of that sober bottom a day later.

So while all may be well, just wanted to check.

Jump in...the water's warm. :)

I'm actually doing pretty good. Better than I have in years. There really isn't anything to talk about. I just want to be of service to the best of my abilities and not focus on my problems because we all have problems. Thanks for your concern. that was very nice of you.

Do you have any recommendations for any interesting forums?

I found e-aa in an effort to get my Daily Reflections on line and be able to write (w/others) about it. I've been doing since the day I arrived here! It is in the Closed Meeting section... http://www.e-aa.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=52
Step 6 is "AA's way of stating, the best possible attitude one can take in order to make a beginning on this lifetime job... with most of them we shall have to be content with patient improvement." 12&12 Step Six, p.65

Hello Ingrid I also have only recently joined e-AA. Last week in my F2F meeting I received a medallion which had XIX on it. It is a wonderful thought that if we do what is necessary to stay sober just for today, you will always be one year ahead of me. Welcome.
