Live chat requires a new & separate sign in registration, even though you can use the same as you use in the Forums.

Hi is anyone there I really need help with my drinking and as others have said I'm really scared to go to a meeting alone. I know I'll most likely cry if I feel anything like I do now. Please help me .
I'm in Baltimore, MD.

I wish I was there. But you can always call the local hotline and have someone visit you and acompany you to a meeting. Please look up the directory or search the Baltimore AA central office on the web.

Yes tater - email meeting have formats & reading and prayers too!

I used to go to one that had a new topic weekly, then folks added their share in during that week. Every Sunday a new prayer, quote/reading and open sharing. I opened a new email account specifically for the meeting because there was a lot of email and I wanted un uninterrupted pace with it. Having the light company send me an email with my bill was annoying lol.

They also announced birthdays & announcements. It is pretty cool.

Quick question...

I only have to register for chat meetings once and I have access to all meetings, correct? After that, I just log into the chat at the time of any given meeting or do I have to register for each meeting individually?

Welcome Wendy.

That is correct. You will need to log in with your username and password on each visit.

I see you have registered successfully and your account is now active.

Our next meeting is at 5pm EST with the room open thirty minutes beforehand for open chat.

Look forward to seeing you there soon.

Question on Email Meetings

Postby WendyR » Fri Sep 29, 2017 8:09 pm

Hey everyone!

I've been here at the e-AA group for a few days now, so I'm still trying to learn my way around all the awesome resources you have here. I'm a little confused, however, about the email meetings. I've registered for a few of them, but am really not sure how they work. If there's a link that explains them, I'll be happy to do my own research and read up on it. But, as of yet, I haven't found anything that really explains them.

I'm reading through them but am puzzled as to how they really work. Are they a recap of chat meetings that were held or are they an email meeting where you reply to them with your thoughts you want to share (obviously staying on the topic of the meeting)?

If anyone could explain or again just point me in the direction of some information, I'd be very appreciative. :-)

Thanks so much!

~ Wendy
