Yes, Step 9 is the Direct Amends step... the one the promises are being brought from (and you despise).

"Wherever possible..." And it's the Divorce Act that makes it impossible for direct ammends with your children right now. Activisim against unjust politics is an outside issue, in that it won't keep us sober and would also divert us from AA's primary purpose.

No, what you need is freedom of association with your children. With continued sobriety, this is a lot more likely. Especially if you are still alive when they come of age (or they seek you out). The court cases are mostly spilt milk now.

But I guess you have a point... A grave will give them an immediate sense of closure.

Just the opposite of what we offer... A New Beginning, each day.
