Was at a big book meeting past Thursday, they are at "To the Wives", I notice that suggest atleast read the chapter on Alcoholism. Two other place "Working with others" and "To the Employer" also requests us to go back to that chapter. Very important!
Working with others:
Give him an account of the struggles you made to stop. Show him the mental twist which leads to the first drink of a spree. We suggest you do this as we have done it in the chapter on alcoholism.
To the Wives:
When a discussion does arise, you might suggest he read this book or at least the chapter on alcoholism.
To the Employer:
Can you discard the feeling that you are dealing only with habit, with stubbornness, or a weak will? If this presents difficulty, re-reading chapters two and three, where the alcoholic sickness is discussed at length might be worth while.

Show him, from your own experience, how the peculiar mental condition surrounding that first drink prevents normal functioning of the will power (Alcoholics Anonymous, Page 92)
