Service Positions Available

Postby PaigeB » Fri Jun 23, 2017 1:39 pm

The Forums Coordinator Position is OPENING Soon.

Moderators always welcome!

Paige - Latest rotation since Sept. 1, 2016 - time for me rotate out.
If I'm not able to say how I'm working my program today, then I'm not working my program.

I have tried to convince Paige privately that this information is incorrect, without success. So for the general interest of members here, who may wonder how the service positions work and rotate, and to check if I may be reading it wrong, I will post two links. One will show unelected positions (moderators), and the other will show the elected position of coordinator.

Moderators http://www.e-aa.org/eaa.php?pg_id=47

Forums Coordinator http://www.e-aa.org/eaa.php?pg_id=55

Under moderators it says they rotate out after 2 years, so Paige has served since Sept 2016, and has more than a year to go, before “time for me rotate out” applies.

Under forums coordinator, the term of office is two years, Karl started in Sept 2016, so this to my mind is incorrect - “The Forums Coordinator Position is OPENING Soon.”

Oh I apologize for the misunderstanding Brock. I rotated OUT as Coordinator in 2016 after 2 full years of service and became an unvoted volunteer Moderator. I have served more than 3 years straight.

I suppose that means that Karl has a year to go, but I am reporting what I saw in the Members Business meeting. Perhaps Karl needs to rotate out for some reason, or they made a mistake.

Moderators are needed. We approve initial posts. Moderate posts according to forums guidelines; or as discussed among moderators. Lock threads at the end of 5 pages.

It is pretty easy, but other than paige and myself, the other moderators don't show up here very often. We'd appreciate some help.
