Hello Lisa. My name is Robert and I am a Los Angeles area Alcoholic. I am sure there are people that have never relapsed but I haven’t met one yet, which includes me and I have been sober since my first meeting. The only difference between you and I is that I did all of my relapsing before I got to the room.
The book as a page plus on how we tried to control or stop drinking and failed. Both are founders relapsed after taking step 1. What we learned is that we couldn’t do it on your own. what it sounds like to me is all you did is prove you are one of us….welcome back
Robert

LisaW

your experiences as a person who has acheved long term sobriety are invaluable to other AA members
the way you react to a bust is vital to all in AA
faling off the horse is part of the experience
getting back on the horse will give you a new outlook and I can assure you no one will judge you as much as you
are judging yourself
take a day off from yourself and go to a movie drive or long walk
then just walk in the room sit down and smile
the rest will happen naturally

i know its easy to say but you will view the world with new eyes
I wish you luck
Terry
