Thank you for that share Positrac. Keeping it real is what its all about. Real as it is at that moment in our lives.

Larry good luck for Saturday. The beauty is that there are a variety of sobriety periods in the rooms so there will be someone in that room who will hear the message in your share that can help them with their sobriety where they are at that moment.

And congrats on 2 years :D Sobriety and the growth that comes with it is awesome :D

It is tough our stories are all unique, yet all involve alcohol having control over our lives. I do not like the drunk tales, people almost take pride in how "bad" they were. I do not like the bragging. I love it when someone is honest and explains their personal struggles. Good post. Made me think.

Sorry all, I am such a slacker. It went really well. I had a lot of people tell me that they loved how I shared my story, and one guy who was coming back and just got another 24 hour coin told me a lot of what I said hit home for him.

I will say this - if/when I share like that again, I will write out some of it because I did forget some of the anecdotes that are really insightful. But when I talked about my initial misconceptions of steps 1, 2, and 3, and how working with the sponsor allowed me to see specific examples of my story that really helped me develop a firm foundation for recovery... as one of my friends said, it added a lot of depth and weight to my message.

I wish you all could have been there - it was a great experience. Thanks for your fellowship and be blessed!!! Larry

I wish I could have been there! Some people record their share and pass out CDs to anyone who is interested in having one.
