Hi All. My name is Leslie and I am new to the e-AA Group but feeling good/ nervous about trying something new. I stopped drinking just over 4 1/2 years ago and am currently living in a place without a strong AA presence. I am thankful that someone told me about this forum and look forward to learning from you.

Hi Leslie!

Glad you're here.

It can be rough without meetings, I live in a town where there aren't any, so e-AA is making a big difference for my sobriety.

hi and welcome i know the internet is making the world seem a very small place indeed, but the amazing thing about aa is that no matter where you are in the world there is sure to be a meeting somewhere, it really does make me feel proud of aa and the people in it who go out of there way opening up meetings all over the world, very often with very little help from other aa members

anyway it got me thinking if there is no aa in your area have you thought about starting up a meeting yourself ? its how aa works my friend in areas were there is no aa meeting someone starts one up and on and on it goes

anyway just a thought i would pass on it might help ?

good luck to you
