Hi folk! I think i have been missing a lot of people joining and posting here recently. I want everyone to know that you are welcome, wanted and needed!

So if you have recently joined us, stick a post here so that we can all give the warm e-AA hug, handshake, smile, whatever :D

. . . Reminds me a little of the newcomer meeting my first home group held before the regular meeting. Us newbies were kind of on display while the oldtimers sat in and got an eyeful. We had no idea what they were doing there :) Now of course I get it

Ash from Ireland, huh?

Do they drink in Ireland??? Wow, who would have thought it. (LOL)

I'm told my people came from Donnegal County back in the 1700's. Then we got thrown out of New England, and shipped to Philly/New Jersey, where we excelled in the 'High Cost of Low Living' through alcohol. (Except for one Uncle, who was convinced to move to California by some loansharks)

Thankfully, because of AA, I get to change the family crest from the Bottle & Mad Realm to something worthwhile, and I see the pay off in the lives of children I was blessed with in sobriety :)

Glad you are joining us on the Broad Highway... we get a second chance at life, and it's a good life

Hi Ash! Glad to see you posting here!

The quote button is a way to include the post you are currently reading in a response. If you click quote, a post of your own will start and the post the quote button was above will be "quoted" in the response you write.

Many of us edit out (delete) parts of the quoted material that doesn't pertain to their response. Sometimes in doing the little edits, parts of the html code (the words that command the quote function, which you see written out in the quoted material in your response) get messed up and the quote feature doesn't work. The commands have to be verbatim, there's no fuzzy logic here :-) But that's no biggie. Have fun with it, play with it! Enjoy, and glad you're here.
