Personally, I prefer Lamsa's translation of the prayer in the Peshitta for the 6th petition to the King James translation.

Personally, I think that's a lot of Peshitta.

The KJV translates the 6th petition as: "Lead us not into temptation."

Lamsa's Peshitta translates the same verse directly from Aramaic as: "Let us not enter into temptation."

He explains the difference as a simple copying error in KJV translation between a transitive and intransitive verb.
