Even before AA I can see that there was a Power greater than myself that intervened at times but AA's program has given me continuous conscious contact that is useful to solving more than my alcoholism problem. I can see where I have grown away from from my alcoholic life and this Great Reality does for me what I can not do for myself.

I identify and agree with all the Grapevine quotes. Thanks for posting them in the forums, Todd!

Yea, it was booze. A lot of times in my past drinking was my only reason to stay alive. I had to be an alcoholic in order to survive the hideous and abusive youth I endured. This is a gift.

Best of Bill

"We began to see adversity as a God-given opportunity
to develop the kind of courage which is born of humility, rather than bravado.
Thus we were enabled to accept ourselves, our circumstances, and our fellows."

And I was just whining about my adversity.... sigh
