PalTalk

Anyone familiar with it? All you need is a microphone and its a IM but you can talk. You can make a room designed for recovery or anything you want. I think it would be cool if someone opened a room, and we had meetings. What you could do is share. One person at a time. Just like a meeting. Have a leader for anyone who comes in...as you can type messages as someone is sharing to let people know how the room works.
I do not have the addy but if you type in pal talk you will get it. Its free. They even have it so you can use cams but there is a charge for that...and really not necessary. Something to think about. I do not have the time with my own recovery group...but if someone starts it I will let my members know also. ...Or you can post it over in my group....thanks Tink
http://pub106.Spammer/b12steprecovery

There are already a number of AA meetings hosted at PalTalk. They'll have video software available soon as well. There are at least a couple of video AA meetings at SoberCity. You can find a list of real-time AA meetings at:
http://www.aa-intergroup.org
http://www.Spammer
I'm not sure why our group would want to host a meeting on another server. We're pretty busy keeping this one going.
But thanks for the suggestion.

I'm not sure why our group would want to host a meeting on another server. We're pretty busy keeping this one going.
Thanks Anyway....
I was not implying that you should, someone was talking about the chat room and I had vaguely heard about PalTalk. I am getting a weird feeling in here, Seems your replies to me and my posts are a bit chastising. Moving my posts, now questioning just a comment anout Pal Talk...Oh well ...maybe time to move on. Hope to see some of you around the groups....Love Tink
[ 04-30-2002: Message edited by: Tinker ]

Sorry if I gave you a negative impression, Tinker. I intended only to point out some facts and provide some information.
I'm not the boss here. I'm just one of the forums coordinators. Feel free to make all the suggestions you like.
