Unfortunately, I missed these! Is there any way to still hear them? In other words, were they recorded?

It is all typing... the transcript is pretty bulky with usually behind the scene script.

My story is posted at http://www.e-aa.org/group_stories.php

A few of us were also caught out by this, and it was explained how it works with members typing their response etc. here - viewtopic.php?f=58&t=23153 (scroll down for full explanation from Jojo).

I don't expect I am the only one as well, who scratched their head wondering why call it a “speaker” meeting, or “chat” meeting, and also advertise who the main “speaker” will be, by definition a speaker is a person who speaks. Maybe others are too polite to comment on this, but surely AA should not have meeting names that are potentially confusing. It could be called something like 'The online meeting,' and the person giving the most input instead of being called the speaker, maybe called the leader or something similar.

"Live chat" is well known to be typing. Listening to someone's voice is Audio or Audio/visual.

It is just the nomenclature and has been around a long time.
