happy to have a temp sponsor here

Most of us who recovered with AA's program did so with the help of a "sponsor". But what is sponsorship? How do I get one? Who can be a sponsor? What makes a good sponsor?

happy to have a temp sponsor here

Post by jakpar » Tue Apr 26, 2011 7:09 pm

:D Looking forward to working with my sponsor on here, while I continue to look for a sponsor in my f2f meetings.
I am not exactly sure how to determine the right choice, or how to approach him about it when I do.

The way that I have repeatedly heard to go about finding a sponsor is to listen to all of the men in your meetings share and choose one who has what you want. Then simply approach him and ask him to be your sponsor. And a good sponsor can help you with what you wrote about in another of your posts. Good luck. :D
Step 1: I can't
Step 2: He can
Step 3: I think I'll let him

Hi Jak,
There is a well known phamplet titled: Questions & Answers on Sponsorship that is approved AA literature. It should be available at most AA meetings. See if you can find one and look it over, it should help you tremendously.

Good for you for securing temp here, and searching for a sponsor f2f.
