To all Home Groups and AA members

From that ten-cent phone call and a cup of coffee to AA's General Service Office. What's your take on service?

To all Home Groups and AA members

Post by Joe H » Wed Mar 11, 2009 12:50 pm

This is going on in all of AA's Areas. If you want your Home Group to have a voice in AA please attend a Panel Meeting with your GSR or DCM.

I have in the past been a Panel Chair and can report that your voice and the voice of your group conscience whether in the majority or minority is heard and passed down to the Delegates and onto the Conference.

Greetings from Area 29, MD General Service,

All districts of Area 29 have formed into six Regional Panels to discuss the topics that will be on the agenda at the 2009 General Service Conference, attended by our Delegate in April. The Regional Panel process is for any interested member of our Fellowship. We encourage everyone to attend as many panel meetings as possible to learn about AA's worldwide service activities. At the panel meetings, we discuss the background material that relates to each Conference Agenda Topic, and hear all views concerning the items under each topic.

The next step in the process of informing our delegate is the Mini-Conference in Columbia, MD the first weekend in April. It is here that you will hear all of the agenda items discussed and be truly a part of the informed group conscience process in Area 29 and our fellowship as a whole. We strongly encourage all members of our Fellowship to attend the Mini-Conference.

The Regional Panel topics, and location of meetings and the Mini-Conference registration information are attached to this message or you can go to our website, for more information. Please pass this information along to your groups. Make them aware of this important process. Without input and discussion from each of you, the process suffers.

Thank you for your attention. We hope to see many of you at the Regional Panel meetings and at the Area 29 Mini Conference.

Yours in loving service,
