I need help with quitting...

The book Alcoholics Anonymous, fondly called the Big Book, tells you how we got our from under... how we have seemed to have put our disease at ease. The "basic text" is the first 164 pages and the Doctor's Opinion before the Chapters begin. First we have to see if we are alcoholic and then we have to want to stop. Then we have to work the 12 Steps. I worked those Steps with a sponsor.

You can check out our book online at http://www.aa.org/pages/en_US/read-the- ... traditions .

You can read about AA sponsors in the pamphlet... http://www.aa.org/assets/en_US/aa-liter ... ponsorship

If you have a problem with alcohol ~ we have a solution.
If I'm not able to say how I'm working my program today, then I'm not working my program.

Welcome here jwall. AA is open to all who have a desire to quit drinking, but identifying as an alcoholic is important in our fellowship. I will put up some links which may help you decide, in particular the chapter from the big book 'There Is A Solution,' shows on pages 20 & 21, an example of what AA considers moderate drinkers, hard drinkers, and alcoholics.
