A poem

This Love is Blind

My name's Angie
And I'm an alcoholic,
A bottle of wine,
A large gin and tonic

You help me escape
From reality,
When times are tough
It's you and me!

You ease my mind
When life seems unfair,
When I struggle to cope
I know you'll be there!

Our relationship is like
A secret amour,
No one must find out
Of this, I'm sure.

I'll hide you away
In various places
The backs of cupboards,
Secluded spaces

Don't worry though,
A short while you're alone,
I'll find you as soon
As I get home

Then we'll take
Some time away,
And I know you'll
Relieve my stressful day.

We'll cook together,
Relax and unwind
But one day I'll see
THIS LOVE IS BLIND!

I haven't forgotten my last drunk as it is a reminder of where I was and could be if I ever forget. Frankly is scares me and it has been over two decades since my last drink so long ago.
You must live your life from beginning to end: No one else can do it for you.

Sweet Poem!

You should submit it to the Grapevine!
