How do I learn to rely on a higher power?

New to AA? Got questions? Here's the place to ask. Note that no one person speaks "officially" for AA. AA meetings in your local area are always the best source of information. Note that anyone may post and reply to messages in this forum.

Hi BeardedOp and welcome.

Congratulations on four months of sobriety!

My ESH is that whenever I've felt confused about something or kind of "out there" on my own, I talk to God about it and ask for guidance and direction. Sometimes I get the answers I need almost instantly, directly from the source, and other times I hear the answer I need in the next AA meeting from another AA member. Prayer always works for me.

Keep coming back....
