New Here

New to AA? Got questions? Here's the place to ask. Note that no one person speaks "officially" for AA. AA meetings in your local area are always the best source of information. Note that anyone may post and reply to messages in this forum.

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Katrina. I was actually referred here by my probation officer. I recently got a DUI and am required to go to AA but am able to participate in this forum instead. I'm interested in learning new things here and keeping an open mind. :)

Welcome aboard. Please free to ask questions. Do you have any questions about powerlessness and un-manageability? Ask, we will be glad to answer them.

Welcome Katrina,

You will learn a lot about alcoholism here. Just out of curiosity how does what I quoted above work? I know when people attend meetings they get a sheet signed. Does your PO monitor your activity here or do you print out things to show her? This is the first I've heard of being able to do e-aa rather than meetings.

Best wishes with your quitting drinking and DWI.
