Re: Help Me!

I’m loving going to meetings right now hopefully I can get myself a sponsor and start working the steps The suggestion to try online meetings when you can't sleep is a good one. I have a feeling that's how I discovered e-AA. and continued to use the meetings as a supplement to f2f. The Online Meeti...

Re: Help Me!

During the day I’m feeling happier and more willing, at night I feel absolutely shattered but I’m struggling to sleep Welcome Boblardo. Sounds as though you're doing great. After we stop drinking, the agitating effect may persist for a while, leading to jumpiness and insomnia; or we may suddenly be...

Re: Original disease concept video black and white

Hi everyone, I’m new to this site, have been on/off with AA since 2011. Finally managed 3years sober this April. I’m thinking of returning to AA and want to see the original black and white video explaining the disease model of alcohol. It’s late 1950’s or 60’s, one guy and a whiteboard and he expl...

I have success for a few days then it just hits me and I impulsively stop to purchase and begin again. I have tried ...

Re: Help Me!

I’m going to “brave” a meeting tomorrow, obviously worried I’ll bump into people I know although at the very first meeting I went to this wasn’t an issue so I’ve no need to think it will the case this time!! In my experience this is never an issue. If there does happen to be someone, remember they ...

Tough and straight forward where it’s needed, and encouraging and supportive in other places. I don’t think that means we should mollycoddle them and never dare ment...
