Re: Not at rock bottom ..but asking questions

I've been reading the BB....very helpful! I can definitely identify with some of the examples given. Thank you everyone for your posts and encouragement. I am so glad I joined this group! I almost feel like I won't know what to do with myself once that devil starts whispering in my ear again, excep...

Re: Not at rock bottom ..but asking questions

I'm new and also have the same struggle with whether or not I'm an alcoholic. My last drink was June 1, just 2 days ago. I don't remember everything I said and did, which is something that has been happening more and more often. According to the questionnaires and research I've done, I have a "mode...

The OIAA facility is entirely separate from our 12 Step Committee here at e-AA. The e-AA 12 Step Coordinator can be contacted at this address: 12th_Step_coordinator@e-aa.org We particularly need more willing female volunteers on our Sponsorship Team. The Forums also provide opportunities for respond...

Re: How do I get a sponsor?

How do I get a sponsor? How often will I need to be in contact with a sponsor? I was sure I didn’t need one, but I now finally accept that I do. I just ruined 38 days sober after “rewarding” myself with a drink on vacation. That one drink turned into a 10 day binge. We also provide a temporary spon...

Re: Need help...to just start...

Hi! I’m a newcomer to this forum and am grateful to have found it. I have been sent and read a lot of the info and it makes sense....I am just struggling to get past that first drink and that first day and that first week etc. Honestly just so scared of who I am without it because I only know me wi...

Re: First sponsor but not going well

Thank you for all your replies, stories and words of experience. I’m happy to say I’ve now found a new sponsor and now beginning to progress again. So now that issue is out of the way I am moving on. Its action time and I’m now able to focus on the real issue and why I joined the fellowship in the ...

Re: 90 days!!

I celebrated 90 days last week. I had a relapse 7 years ago after being completely sober for five years. Even though I didn't drink (as I was a rock bottom drunk when I first entered the rooms) I was completely devastated emotionally and spiritually after being in a purple haze and out of the progr...

Re: New to e-AA, but have some experience with AA already

Hello, I'm new here after a lapse that took me to a lower place than my last low. My plan this time is to be very involved in the online sober communities and work the steps with a sponsor. My sober date is (now) 5/5/2020 and I pray it will be my last one for the rest of my life. Of course, if I dr...

Re: How many of us are out there?

Congrats on 29 days! I am 2 years today. It was not easy but I made it. It was by the grace of God, AND with the help of my sponsor. Get a sponsor soon if you have not gotten one. I was so afraid to, but she showed me that I could trust her. Beginning to open up was such a relief and it got better....

Re: Trying again

Hello Finally hit me the other night when I did the math and I was drinking (2) 16 oz Beers every 10 to 15 minutes until I drank all the beer in the house amounting to about 2.5 gallons of beer. I remember that but not going to bed, where I left my phone, or saying good night to my kids. Really hop...

Re: Making amends

Its not a matter of feeling my homegroup members are trustworthy, which by the way my sponsor is not part of, he just visits our reading group. It is that I don't want to be obligated to something as major as a trip. It's like when you have to go to a wedding where there is alcohol. They tell you t...

If we skip this vital step, we may not overcome drinking. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 72 If we still cling to something we will not let go, we ask God to help us be willing. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 76 All of A.A.'s Twelve Steps ask us to go contrary to our natural desires . . . they all deflate our eg...
