Re: Long time listener, first time caller.

Hey Rebhan, Glad you had got something out of the forum. 23 years old ,, I can understand where you are .. I was still going strong in my alcoholism ... Life without alcohol is definitely the hardest thing to imagine for sure. Although, the concept isn't focusing on the lifetime without alcohol it's...

I checked myself in for two weeks in a rehab for alcohol treatment. I can honestly say I had no idea what to expect or was I just unduly alarmed.. Truth be...

Re: So Far, Disappointed

Hi Killaire, I understand how you may be feeling... You must have boundaries absolutely.. Recovery is not easy in the beginning for sure.. AA isn't asking you to do 5+ meetings or 2 meetings a week.. All AA is asking you is are you willing to get sober and stay sober under any or all conditions.... ...

Re: Finally ready to stop living in denial.

Hello star001, I already see the change in you in such a short time.. Glad you decided to do it for you.. Truly as I and everyone else has learned that we can not get sober for others.. Just keep it in the day and Listen, and Learn. That was the key in the beginning for me.. Life is going to happen ...

Oh I do agree Duke, They had told me from the outset that it wasn't an AWOL group but definitely had the familiarities of one.

Hi hurtandsad, I know all too well what you are going through. I can assure you he is feeling the loneliness and the frustration as much if not more than you are. I have been sober for quite awhile and I agree with what Niagara had just posted.. He has to clear his mind and emotions right now. My ex...

Attending Meetings While Out of Town

Hi all, Just took a couple days off and went up to Maine. I attended a meeting last night. A discussion meeting. It was a nice change. The people spoke about recovery and pretty much stayed on the topic that the chairperson had put out there.. It was really nice to hear what others do to stay sober ...
