My sponsor has me doing this homework assignment for the first step: Text him 5 examples of powerlessness over alcohol that I am experiencing in that day and 5 examples of how my life is unmanageable in that day for 7 consecutive days. As we speak it is almost midnight on New Years Eve and I got through the day without a drink although I was hit by cravings about 3 hours ago. But I got through it.
