Re: 7th Tradition and outside group copying expenses

My home group insists that an expence be paid and we then explain that if the member did not want the funds they could quietly donate it to the basket. That way the expense is recorded in the checkbook and the next person to rotate to that task is free to accept reimbursement. Some people need the r...

Re: Think.. think.. think

Alcoholics Anonymous page 86 On awakening let us think about the twenty-four hours ahead. We consider our plans for the day. Before we begin, we ask God to direct our thinking, especially asking that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest or self-seeking motives. Under these conditions we can emp...

I needed as much help with a concept of a higher power as any who honestly announce that they don't 'believe'. I would not even r...

And, sometimes, claims of overthinking can be made by others as a way to silence those who ask difficult (but valid) questions.

Re: Anonymity

Anonymity is so funny it's almost a joke,... It is no joke once we understand it. When we read the book The 12 Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous it helps us to understand what the seriousness is all about. The back of the Big Book also has the long form of the Traditions which is helpful. Our pers...

Re: Last Drink?

Are there AA meetings in your home town? There are people there like us that can answer questions and offer sober friendship. We at e-AA offer the same. You are welcome here. I need both face to face help and online support.
