A member always says my name is***i'm an alcoholic,not always glad to be one but always glad to know i'm one. Reminds me of the time life was so hard going,i never seem to fit in, always somewhere just below and i never could understand why. So today i'm also glad to know i'm one and have away out.

When i was 18 i went to meetings and thought i heard it all also. Stayed dry for a year then drank for another 20+. I had to take ACTION, i had to do what the sober people did. THE 12 STEPS. When it said to do something in the big book i done it. Today i'm not dry i'm sober

My trigger is alcoholism. Thanks to the 12 steps i don't have to live that way anymore. Commit to today worked for me,but i had help in an AA room and a big blue book.

How did those few relapses work out? Must not be so good,or you would'nt be here. They told me keep doing what you've always done and you'll get what you always got. We learned that we had to fully concede to our innermost selves that we were alcoholics. This is the first step in recovery. The delusion that we are like other people, or presently may be, has to be smashed.

I was told faith with-out-works is dead.If i'm praying for potatoes i'd better be praying with a derogatory. If i want what AA has to offer then i have to do the 12 steps,not just read them. At the time i thought he was a SOB. but i'm still sober

someone told me that the truth will stand on it's own. it,s those lies that you have to try to support. comes to alcohol i never could get all i ever wanted,i just got more then i could stand.

Me and my wife are alcoholics i ended up going to AA she did not. It was real hard to come home to beer in the house and her drunk. When i frist came through the doors of AA they suggested i read the frist 164 pages of the Big Book. I thought i'd just skip over to page 164 and see how this thing ended. What happen was i found a line that said (But obviously you cannot transmit something you haven't got.) So how do i get it, well...
