Coordinator, term of office: 1 year
Suggested sobriety: 1 or more years
Suggested Qualifications: At least 3 months subscribed to the group's business email list and 3 months activity participating with the Literature Committee.
Coordinator, Previous service experience: Any
Other suggested qualifications: Familiar with AA GSO-approved books, magazines, pamphlets and an interest in writing.
Coordinator, Duties and Responsibilities:
The following may be assigned to committee members; however, the Coordinator retains responsibility for their completion.
Act as chair of the literature committee
Announce e-AA's Big Book service in all appropriate venues
Communicate with Big Book requesters
Distribute Big Books
Solicit and announce new stories for the Our Stories pages of our web site
Edit submitted stories and submit completed stories for posting on web site
Order the Grapevine subscription for the monthly drawing and the Grapevine Rep
Communicate regularly with group members through the business email list
Big Book service assistants, Our Stories editors and story procurers, and anyone interested make up the committee, suggested sobriety 30 or more days. The committee determines how, when, and by what means committee members will communicate. New committee members may be selected by the committee; however it is suggested that group members, through the email business list, be advised of any new appointment or any other significant changes within the committee.
Committee members are not required to subscribe to the members email list unless they plan to be available for the Literature Coordinator position.
