Elections

Introduction > General eAA Concepts > Procedures > Guidelines > Positions

The Secretary will post the election process by the first week of July.

Rotations begin Sept 1st annually for all our trusted service positions.

Nominations (or seconding of nominations) are not required.

Any eligible group member may make him- or herself available for any open office.

When there is more than one candidate for a position, the secretary should employ a modified version of the Third Legacy Procedure outlined on pages S21-S22 in The A.A. Service Manual combined with 12 Concepts for World Service, PDF

No member may assume an office by default. If there is only one candidate for office, the secretary will ensure that the candidate has the support and confidence of the membership. If that cannot be determined informally, a vote is required. Offices may remain vacant, or continue to be held by the current office holder, until a candidate clearly has at least majority support.
