The Late Tuesday H.O.W. Meeting

Welcome to the Tuesday Night  H.O.W. Meeting:  "Honest, Open-minded, Willing" of the e-AA group. I am your secretary for tonight; my name is  Amy and I am an alcoholic.

XXXX is our Greeter.

After a moment of silence, for the still suffering alcoholic, I invite those who wish to join me in the Serenity Prayer.

God, grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Amen

Preamble of Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking.

There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.

The meeting lasts for 1 hour. Please keep in mind the size of the group, and keep your comments brief and on topic. If you would like to share, please type !!

When "speaking" please type the word "END" at the conclusion of your last entry so that everyone knows you are finished and someone else can share.

The secretary will call on you, giving all those who wish to share the opportunity to do so. Everyone is welcome to stay and chat as long as they like. The chat rooms are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This is an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous. As such, it is for AA members to share their experience, strength and hope with those who have a desire to stop drinking, or to learn more about the AA program of recovery from alcoholism.

Does anyone have a topic,  they would like to discuss, as it relates to alcoholism?

Would anyone else like to add anything before we close up?

Are there any announcements for upcoming events on e AA ?

For those who wish please join us in the 11th step prayer:

"Lord, make me a channel of thy peace--that where there is hatred, I may bring love--that where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness--that where there is discord, I may bring harmony--that where there is error, I may bring truth--that where there is doubt, I may bring faith--that where there is despair, I may bring hope--that where there are shadows, I may bring light--that where there is sadness, I may bring joy. Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted--to understand, than to be understood--to love, than to be loved. For it is by self-forgetting that one finds. It is by forgiving that one is forgiven. It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life. Amen."
